Modern Charlotte Realty is Charlotte, North Carolina’s first and only real estate firm devoted to mid-century modern and contemporary-designed homes. Established by Gail Jodon in 2006, Modern Charlotte promotes and markets mid-century modern homes in the greater Charlotte, North Carolina area. Charlotte boasts a wide range of mid-century architecture - from moderately priced atomic ranch homes in Madison Park to architecturally designed one-of-kind homes in South Charlotte.

Gail has developed a keen interest in unique design since beginning her career in the fashion industry, eventually making a move to furniture and finally to contemporary real estate. She is a recognized expert on mid-century modern in Charlotte by many including George Smart of Triangle Modernist Houses who has invited her to become a member of the advisory board of this organization devoted to the preservation of modernist homes. Recently, Dwell Magazine named Gail as “The Resource” for mid-century homes in the Southeast. In Charlotte, Gail has worked with the Charlotte Historic Commission to help bring mid-century modern architecture to the forefront of the efforts of the commission to preserve Charlotte’s historical homes. She served as the Chairperson of the very first Mid-Century Modern Home Tour in Charlotte working with Historic Charlotte in 2010, which was a huge success. The 2011 MCM Home Tour is in the planning stages and Gail will again serve as chairperson.
