Over thanksgiving Mark and I escaped to Atlanta for the weekend. While there we visited the High Museum of Art where they are displaying the Picasso to Warhol exhibit (October 15, 2011 – April 29, 2012). The display showcases fourteen modern masters of the twentieth century.
The exhibit had everything from the classic modern piece Trafalgar Square by Piet Mondrian…
to the highly acclaimed piece titled Map by Jasper Johns.
I love seeing people, especially children, enjoying art!
The art was impressive, but High Museum gained some big points when I discovered the Art Clix APP on my phone.
After downloading the app I could take a photo of any painting and the app would pull up information about that painting and the artist.
For some of the paintings, there was even audio commentary! I could also share the information or comment on the painting.
